It was just an oil change. This was the second time I was there for that oil change. The first time was a two hour wait in this time. It was only like an hour even though I have an appointment I understand you don’t make that much time for a Noyle change, but it’s still a pain. Other than that it was just fine thank you.

I called Cable Dahmer Monday 2-24-25 after I blew a tire on the highway. And Jalen Lyday answered my call. When I arrived Tuesday 2-25-25 there was a small mistake on the actual name but, it was a Goodyear tire. So on today 2-26-25. I returned and Jalen Lyday took great care of correcting the small problem. I was not happy at first. But again. Jalen Lyday handled the situation in a professional manner. Friendly staff, but went through paperwork very quickly, some was briefly explained bit not fully filled out. I asked more than once about my rebates/discounts ($1000 and $500) but was never really shown where they were on the paperwork. Initially when I test drove the vehicles, I said I wanted the FWD $2000 less than the AWD. As we started the paperwork, the salesman said the car I test drove was actually an AWD but they would match the FWD price, or work with me on the price. I asked about that discount and was never shown those numbers either. The initial paper had my trad as $13000, final paperwork has it at $10920. When I asked about that, was told the numbers come out the same in the end and something to do with the cancellation?? Then I was asked to sign a blank cancellation form with none of the info filled in. I have sent 2 emails to 3 different people and still have not received a response from anyone. I am a repeat customer, but this will be the last car I purchase from you, and will be sharing my experience.

Although I like this Cable Dahmer location better than the others, it was challenging to find out the process of getting my car fixed under the extended warranty. I had to call several times to find out what was going on and that was frustrating. The representative that I worked with did a good job of trying to fill me in when I called and did text me a couple of times with updates, but they kept my car for almost two weeks. I suggest better communication and more clarity when things like this happen so that the customer always knows what to expect including the price. I didn't know that until the car was done.

My car is serviced at Cable Dahmer all the time. I went in for routine service which is usually prepaid and left paying a $1,000 repair bill. Some of which was for the prepaid oil change. Most of which was for replacing a battery cable, replacing the cabin filter, replacing a running light assembly because it was broken by water that had flooded the assembly, and the notorious computer diagnostic fee. Computer diagnostics help the Service Department figure out what’s wrong with a car helping them increase their productivity. I’m sure you’ve heard from others what a scam it is to charge $200 for using operating equipment that helps you be more efficient. Next will be a building and equipment fee for bring the car in at all. It was also disappointing that my bumper to bumper extended warranty doesn’t cover an entire light assembly that lets water infiltrate it. I was also with the use of my car for the better part of 5 days.

I made an appointment a month in advance to ensure ample time to ensure the oil needed for transmission change and filter would be on hand. Had to reschedule becuase you did not order the fluid. I ended up buying and providing the trans oil, which cost me over $500. Also requested engine oil change to be done at the same time as trans oil change, but they didn't do it until after calling me to tell me the trans fluid change was complete and I reminded them that they were to change the engine oil. I asked that the tech doing the trans change provide a pic of the trans oil filter, they never provided me a pic. I have no confidence in the ability of your service staff and I will never patronize your dealership and will go out of my way to discourage others from using your dealership.

My only "complaint" with the staff is it takes too long in financing dept. Staff used to be really excellent and made you feel like they were giving advice rather than just finding problems. Staff was polite this time, but just made me feel like they were trying to get me to spend money. Prices felt high. I was extremely annoyed and disappointed that there was a sign stating that 3% credit card fee would be the customer’s responsibility. I can understand a small business passing that cost onto the customer, but Cable Dahmer doing it is ridiculous. It’s the cost of doing business. That alone makes me want to do my service elsewhere, and now I’m searching for an alternative. I’m super bummed because I used to have the same great service guy for like 15 years at Cable Dahmer, and he was so great. The location is also super convenient, but I’ll probably start going somewhere else.

Brought my vehicle in for a parking assist issue. They called and said that they couldn’t recreate the issue. As soon as I got in my car and put into drive I got the issue. I drove to the dealership and showed the picture of the issue to the tech. He got in my vehicle and the issue occurred. He took a picture and said they would check it out and would get me a loaner. It took him an hour and twenty two minutes to get a loaner “gassed up”. He called me later and said the sensor was damaged. When I came back to pick up my car I asked for proof of damage. He stated that someone must have hit me because that is how much damage there is. When he showed me the damage there was a white speck on the sensor and I wiped it off and asked about the damage. The service document says that there is obvious damage and there was a B0955 error. Information I received says that error is faulty not damaged. I would love to provide pictures of the sensor to show there is no damage to the sensor or bumper..

People are very nice but was told that my tire had a nail in it and COULD not be patched so we purchased a new tire. Two days later when I finally drove my car my low air pressure tire light came on. Come to find out the tire they put on had a faulty valve stem. Since it is a holiday weekend they were closed and I was going out of town we took it to a tire place to get the valve stem fixed come to find out the old tire could be fixed so service department just said that the tire couldn’t be fixed just to get us to buy a new tire.

Went in for 3 things: (1) oil change; (2) tire rotation; and (3) recall inspection/servicing. Was told it could take a few hours, which I was prepared to wait through. An hour later, was told car was ready. Only oil change was done. Service person told me that I told them I didn’t want the tire rotation, which was not true. Was also told that there was no remedy or action to be taken on the recall yet. I understand that this may be the case on the recall, but found it frustrating that the tire rotation was not completed.

I was sold a $300+ spark plugs replacement as the mileage exceeded 60,000. When I got home my manual listed 96,000 mile with no qualifying note for years. Oil change and tire rotation took 2 1/2 hours and when they brought my truck up and told me it was ready I got in my truck and TPS was flashing and no reading for all 4 tires. I walked back in and counter person came out with reader and said they won't read so my sensors are bad. They were fine when I pulled in. Said I could make an appointment to get sensors replaced and that was that. Poor customer service. I left and went to a tire shop and they were able to read them and get it straightened out in 10 minutes, at my cost of course.

Cable Dahmer only fixed 2 of the 3 items I submitted for service. On the drivers side door there is raised chrome lettering for the word "EQUINOX". The letter "I" is missing on the drivers side door. This was on the work order, however it was not fixed nor were there any notes on the customer invoice stating what occurred with this request. It appears this request was just skipped over without notes or resolution.

I had my oil changed and my tires rotated. Last time I did this you guys didn't get the tire pressure correct, so this time I asked specifically if you would make sure to follow the MFG's recommendations on the tire pressure printed on the side of the driver's door. You didn't do it again even when I asked explicitly. You filled all the tires to 35psi. The front tires should be at 32 and the rear at 35. Not sure why this isn't done consistently. For what it is worth Discount and Big O never seem to get this correct either. Tires are expensive and I would prefer not having to clean up after you guys every time I have work done.

I am disabled but I got out of my car and walked into service finally got help went into waiting room at about 3:35 my car was finished. For the first 4 years that I took my suv in to be serviced, once I pulled my suv into the service area a Cable Dahmer member would be at my suv to get my keyfob, check tires, etc. For the last 2 years, when I have taken my suv in for service and pulled up to service and waited over 10 minutes, No one came out to greet me. If I had not gotten out of my suv and went in I'm sure I would have been waiting even longer. This time around I had 4 new tires put on my suv and the technician didn't even bother to check the air pressure (psi), one tire was sitting at 33, another was at 36, yet another was at 39 and another at 38! I am not a technician and I know that the psi should have been the same for all 4 tires, at least having a psi of 35. Makayla was great as usual. I give her a 5 star rating, but I cannot give that score as an overall score.

I made an appointment to get a recall fixed on 7/1 at 10 am. I requested a loaner. I got a call telling me all loaners are gone that day, and if I need one my appointment needs to be moved to 7/17 at 7 am. Fine. I waited 16 more days then brought it in. When I asked for my loaner I was told I need to come back another day if I want a loaner. When I explained that this WAS my rescheduled appointment I was asked to leave. I called the Service Manager and asked why I was treated this way and I was told there was no loaner on my appointment. Then he asked why I didn’t take their shuttle home. What shuttle? I was never told about a shuttle, I was thrown out for asking for the loaner I had requested when I made the appointment. Then he offered to come get the car from my home and return it. I asked about what happens when they need to order a part and I’m without a car for a week. He promised that if there was a wait for parts my car would be returned to me. I agreed and on Friday morning (an hour later than promised) someone came and took the car. Friday evening I got a call from a service advisor saying I needed to find my own ride up to the dealer to get a loaner because my car wasn’t done. Saturday morning I went in to get the loaner and asked why I can’t have my car back like Brian promised. “I don’t know why he would tell you that. That’s not how it works.” Great, now I have a loaner at least. I’m told I’ll get my car back on Tuesday. Monday I get a call from someone claiming to be the New Car Sales Manager and tells me he needs the loaner back right now. He says that “since you know your car won’t be ready until at least Friday because it’s waiting on a part” I will need to get another loaner. No, I don’t know anything about a part or Friday. What is this guy talking about? “I don’t know what part you need, I just know it was ordered on Friday and will take a week.” He then asked me where the car was. I told him it was at my home. He asked me for my address and then he was confused because I was in Olathe Kansas and not KCMO like he thought. It sounded a whole lot like a scam. I was not happy. Tried to reach service manager again. Unreachable. Left a message. Never called back. Tuesday at noon I called two more times and finally got Brian on the phone. He didn’t even know I had one loaner, let alone two. Had no idea about any of this. Said he was too busy to deal with customers and I needed to talk to someone else. HE’S THE ONE WHO MADE THE APPOINTMENT AND MADE ALL THE PROMISES. When there’s a problem with what HE said and did HE should deal with it! I’m leaving a lot out, including the parts where call center employees taunted me, when the General Manager lied to my face, sales people telling me my car is actively being worked on when it isn’t, etc.

So I came in for an oil change and transmission service. I'm trying to keep up with the suggested service. When I arrived, I directly advised the service tech Mario, that the last time I'd done an oil change I noticed that the windshield wiper fluid wouldn't spray out onto my windshield. I told him I bought some fluid, started to put it in, and the reservoir was full. So I think there is something wrong with the windshield wiper fluid sprayer on my window. He said it's probably just empty. And I responded that I think i know how to fill windshield fluid, and it was full after my last oil change, and didn't spray onto the windshield. He looked, and it was empty (now months after my last oil change), and he took the tack that I was just a dumb driver who couldn't check the windshield fluid. I wasn't going to debate this person, and I asked him, "Just have them check out the windshield fluid because it doesn't spray right." With a skeptical look on his face, he said Alright. Then, after a few expected hours in your waiting room, he said my car was done. The first thing I did when I sat in it was check the windshield fluid, and still nothing. He then said, "Oh, move up to here and let me look." Then he proceeded to fill the fluid right there and send me on my way. The fluid doesn't work, it dribbles out, and the reason why it's empty is because when you are going 80 down the highway and a little dribble comes out, it sprays a little on the windshield, and since bug guts are very prevalent, this is a safety concern, so the fluid just gets used up quickly. It still doesn't work. Nowhere on my paperwork does it note my request to check out the windshield washer fluid, even despite my direct request to do so. I have always had a very good experience with Cable Dahmer from the purchase of my car on to the service appointments I've had. However, this dismissive, patronizing response to a valid request is the opposite of what customer service should be and left me once again traveling the bug-filled highways of Missouri with no real ability to clean my window. I sincerely hope that this isn't an indication of future experiences, because I will not be a customer for long if that is the case.

I TOOK MY CHEVY SPARK IN ON APPROXIMATELY 8-6-2025 DUE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW NOT WORKING. I WAS GIVEN A QUOTE TO HAVE IT FIXED. COULD NOT DRIVE CAR BECAUSE WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE. AFTER 15 DAYS OF WAITING FOR PARTS TO BE ORDERED, DELIVERY THAT WAS APPARENTLY DELAYED, NO TRACKING AVAILABLE AND THEN MORE PARTS BEING ADDED TO MY "SHOPPING CART." SOMETIMES I WOULD GO FOR DAYS WITHOUT UPDATES. WHEN I REACHED OUT I WAS TOLD THAT, EITHER TECHNICIAN HAD NOT HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK AT CAR OR ONLY HAD TIME FOR A "BRIEF EVALUATION." FINALLY I SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, BRIAN, WHO WAS WONDERFUL. CUDOS TO HIM. HE ORDERED THE CORRECT PART, HAD IT DELIVERED AND REPAIRED THE CAR THE NEXT DAY (AUGUST 21). I HAD 16 DAYS OF FRUSTRATION. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE FROM THE SAME CABLE DAHMER OF KC ON 555 W. 103RD STREET, KCMO, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD A GREAT SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I AM DISAPPOINTED. I had a scheduled appointment at 2PM on 8/4/25 Dropped my car off before noon on 8/4/25 due to a bad right front tire, and the check transmission light was on, and to have the 1st free oil change completed. My car was driven 11 mile by someone at the shop, and this was done on the bad tire with a the side wall blown out. Also during this drive of 11 miles, 34 miles of gas was used, the car had 77 miles to empty when dropped off, I followed it on the App. I was told the tech probably drove it. On 8/14/25 the wrong tire was ordered. On 8/15/25 I was told the right front wheel was bent and a new wheel was ordered. The wheel should have been checked when the bad tire was removed not 10 days after the car was dropped off. I got a call on 8/19/25 the car was ready to be picked up. Communication was terrible, I ask for pictures of the bent wheel but never received, I sent a number of emails with no response. Shop didn’t even wash the car. John Posey drove my car in left it running got out and said your good to go and walk off. I wash the car and I find no wheel weights on the new right front wheel! It might be possible the new tire and wheel was perfectly balanced but I highly doubt it, and I will have it checked out at another shop.

No repair needed> Returned COURESTY car and THEN were informed courtesy car non charge just two days!! The overall experience with getting the camera fixed on my truck was a hassle. While yes it was great that the part was covered everything else was a mess. It took three weeks to get something on the books with multiple phone calls and voicemails to get something scheduled. I finally get something scheduled and showed up to the dealership without a loaner. My wife was 40 weeks pregnant at the time and no one seemed to understand the importance of having a vehicle on hand in case of an emergency. I cancelled and rescheduled to a later date. The truck would have been done on day 1 if a manager wasn't "locked" in my case and the tech didn't have to wait 3 hours to pull the part. Overall the service advisor was very rude and I would like to not have him again. It's too the point I will go to the independence store. I came to this cable dahmer location because I didn't have much confidence in my dealings with the independence store in the first place. My first visit at the KC location was great with the first service advisor I had but I don't remember his name. The times I have had John it's been nothing but frustrating. If it wasn't for the centurion package that I purchased I would go to a competing Chevy dealership.

I needed a new Clutch Master Cylinder for my car as it was leaking hydraulic fluid inside the cabin. A potentially dangerous problem, as the car uses the same fluid for the brakes and clutch. The problem was diagnosed promptly and correctly. Originally they didn't have the part, and unfortunately the wrong part was sent after a few days (an honest mistake), so it took about a week to get it done but Mario was kind not to charge me for the Equinox they loaned me. The loaner helped me get to my job and back without worries. And the problem with my Camaro was fixed! Brake pedal feels firmer and the clutch spongy feel is gone. And most importantly, no more leaks. Thank you very much!

He did an excellent job of getting my concern with the right front passenger tire checked out, the tire rotation, and tire, oil, safety checks, and filters were all checked. The actual physical service was fine - 5 stars. The associate who served me was fine. But to wait nearly 4 1/2 hours for service to be completed, when I had a scheduled appointment & yet waited while many other customers came & went during that period was not fine. Being "backed up" for that length of time didn't make any sense. I've been a customer for many years & I expect my scheduled appointments to be honored as they have been in the past.

The only complaint I had was partly my fault for not inquiring further. I was told they’d do the coolant and I assumed it meant checking and topping it off so I said okay. But it meant doing a flush and refill which cost over $200. I wish that I had asked for more information but it would have been better if the technician had been more explicit in the first place.

Poor communication. I told them my front collision light was coming on and states that it's not detected. I told them this information during the scheduling process. That information never got to the advisor. When I got there, they told me they did not have enough time to diagnose, therefore I had to leave my 2025 Tahoe. Yet they did not have a loaner. End result was they completed my oil and rotation, but I would have to travel 45 minutes again to leave the car for a proper diagnosis. No one apologized for the debacle. Frustrating they don't respect your time.

I scheduled appointment a week in advance and asked to reserve a loaner. Checked in on time and no loaner. It was snowing so they refused a courtesy ride until conditions improved. I agreed to wait an hour. I waited 2 hours. Courtesy driver was out giving another a ride since she was only 6 miles away - I was 15 miles. I just asked status of my car. They had not yet touched it. I asked for car back and left to schedule at another dealership. I will try this dealer one more time.

Ivan did an excellent job getting me in and out with the service I needed. However, sitting in the waiting room, I was dismayed to see they had the TV turned to the very biased TV show, The View. You have Whoopie Goldberg (who I used to admire) giving her unprofessional opinions - she knows nothing of politics - but is using her status for ratings and to influence the liberals to hate our president. Very unamerican. I did ask the employees to change the channel to a neutral game show - and they did.

I had Boone as a service provider. Absolutely pleased with her services and professionalism. She helped me with everything I needed. The only downfall to the appointment was it being 3 hours for an oil change and a tire rotation. As well as when my car was done my service provider was on break which is bound to happen of course but no one showed up to give me my car for a while. So I ended up packing my 8 month old up in the car to see if someone would come by then and still nothing. I ended up driving off and finally received a call 10 minutes after I left that my car was ready and I could come pick it up. Which was kind of unsettling.

Had appointment for Tuesday December 2nd they told me to bring the car in by 7:00 only for the car to sit 4 days before even being looked at. I would call and ask about my car he wouldnstate it hadn't been assigned to a technician and to give him a couple hours and he would have more information. Only for to hear nothing back. I called the next day he stated I could come get the car and try again next week, which was very rude, being the car had already sat for 3 days there waiting. Very poor communication from Cody. 3 days into waiting he sent me a text message telling me that he could reserve me a.rental car from hertz but i would be responsible to cover the rental. This dealership will never have the opportunity to services my vehicle or will be able to provide me any services Cody Barnett has giving me the worse experience ever. Very sarcastic in the way he talked to me and belittled me

I have been here a few times now and I definitely recommend this Cable- Dahmer of Kansas City, Chevrolet dealership. This visit was for regular maintenance. Even though the shop was full, the team was helpful, friendly and efficient. They took the time needed to explain the work to be done and options for service. My visit was productive with no upsell pressure, just information. The wait time was reasonable and as communicated at check in. The facility and customer waiting area was clean and comfortable. I don't take this kind of service for granted. It take a team with customer focus as a priority and management that provides the tools they need to deliver it.

Came for an oil change on my Corvette. Was happy when I called to be able to still get an appointment the following day. When I arrived, they said there was a little bit of a wait, but it should be done in about an hour 20 min. I got comfortable in the waiting room, and in only about 10-15 min received a video of the inspection, and another 15-20 min my car was done. Ended up being far faster than I was told it would be. Everybody was very professional and efficient.
